Meet Asabaawebwa. She comes from a poor farming family in Uganda, and has nine brothers and sisters. Her parents earn very little from working the land and selling crops—barely enough to meet their family's basic needs.

The only school in Asabaawebwa's village costs $484 to attend for a full year. While this might seem affordable, for Asabaawebwa's family, paying this tuition is an impossibility. Her other siblings were sent home from school for being unable to pay, some of them giving up before they even completed primary school. When young people stay home, they lose hope, and have no clear idea of what the future holds for them.

Asabaawebwa, on the other hand, decided that she must push on with education in spite of the hardships in her life. She dreams of being the first high school graduate in her family. While many girls her age opt to marry due to lack of educational opportunities, Asabaawebwa knows an education is her best chance at breaking the cycle of poverty afflicting her family, and after earning a scholarship from GreaterGood last year now has only one year of schooling left before graduation.

You can help Asabaawebwa finish high school. Just $39.40 will provide a full month of schooling, getting her closer to her dream of graduation. Your gift will provide the opportunity of her lifetime. When you educate a girl, you help change the world. Donate today!

Consider making a monthly gift. When you give just $39.40 monthly, you ensure Asabaawebwa or another girl at PMM School has a permanent scholarship until they graduate.
