This GivingTuesday, you can make an un-bee-lievable difference for the planet! Help us meet our goal to feed 1,000 hives impacted by natural disasters—join our hive drive today!
Our planet is experiencing widespread destruction. Disasters, both human and nature-made, continue to leave many species on the brink of extinction, 30-50% of which might be gone by mid-century. Biodiversity is crucial to our planet’s survival, and rapid losses endanger it and everything living within it.
One example of this is the honey bee crisis in Florida. Just weeks ago, Hurricane Ian’s 155-mph winds ripped trees, bushes, and flowers from their roots. The loss of this essential natural foliage has devastated honeybee populations across the state, and continues to have a devastating impact on local agriculture as the bees struggle to survive. ‘Bee’ a hero for the planet and join our Hive Drive efforts today.
This GivingTuesday, you can help preserve species like the honeybee to protect our planet's future. These tiny bees do much more for our agriculture than just producing honey. As bees interact with plants and spread pollen, they fertilize plant life across the country, which in turn feeds our families and communities. Without bee pollination, our country’s food supply would suffer unimaginably.
Thanks to our amazing community of donors, we provided 508,800 pounds of sugar syrup and 96,900 pounds of bee pollen to hardworking Florida beekeepers and the hives they care for. But this crisis is ongoing and just one example of why the planet needs your help more than ever.
Thanks to your generous donations on GivingTuesday, we will be able to feed 450 hives of honeybees for two months! Un-bee-lievable!
