One is Not Enough!
I loved it at first sight. My Colours! My style! Wanted it so much, but didn't quite have the $. Took another week to scratch together enough dosh, and was So afraid it would be gone, but there it was, waiting for me. Then ~ O, No!It was lost in the post! I called immediately, they were quite nice, and a week later it was delivered. The wrapping was ragged but the dress was intact 🤗 I'm maybe 51½, very peary, and it fits a dream. It's just at my ankles, so doesn't drag the floor or trip me up. Wore it every day til I was told I had to wash. Didn't mind washing, but what could wear? Withdrawal. I have a few other clothes, but none I can LIVE in.... So, I've decided to forgo the processs of shopping for another couple dresses that'll just be ok, and I am buying this lovely garment again. I'm old, poor, and damagedXXX, and this dress pleases me immensly❣️❣️
What a great story! We are so glad you have found a dress to 'live in'! Enjoy it!
This dress arrived in the mail today, and it is just as shown. Though the hemline isn't perfectly even, I'm not going to worry about it because it's flowy and there are so many things to love about it. The color -- exactly as pictured -- an inky navy/violet is the darker hue, and bright turquoise -- a real mood lifter. The tiny sparkles from the few sequins are nice, but understated. The rayon is nubby and very comfortable. The only thing that would improve it is on-seam pockets (pockets are so useful!) The price is right. Perfect for a hot day -- or, with a black tank and half-slip underneath for a bit more coverage (the armholes are low-cut -- showing my bra, but I am small-chested) make it slightly warmer for a not-so-hot day, as would a sweater or jacket. Speaking of which, this dress pairs nicely with the Global Girlfriend bright organic drape tie "cardigan" with 3/4 sleeves in turquoise (front tie waist) on sale at this site -- perfect outfit for the office or a gathering. Hoping the fading/color-transference won't be too extreme, and plan to cold-wash and hang dry. For reference, I am 5' 8", 125 lbs, and pear-shaped. Usually a S-M or size 6. The dress hits about 3-4" above my ankles and hides my flaws nicely. I'm pleased.
This site is WONDERFUL in so many ways. They provide work for people in need that have the skills to do some quality work and this site gives them a place to market their skills. They use quality materials. I've purchased SEVERAL items of clothing and jewelry and housewares from them and they are ALL LOVELY and I've been wearing the clothes for YEARS and I do wear them a LOT b/c they are my FAVORITES. I do treat them with tender loving care to make sure they stay LOVELY -- and the washer and I are STILL not getting along, SO, hand washing and line drying my favorites is the way I go.
