Red needs your help to get surgery and a second chance at finding a forever home!
Red was rescued from a shelter and his personality won over the hearts of the rescue team. He is extremely gentle, affectionate, and overall a friendly guy. He has all the qualities of a wonderful family pet.
Unfortunately, Red suffered from a traumatic injury in his right hip causing irreversible damage to the head of the femur bone, which is causing him intense pain.
In order for Red to feel better and walk properly again, he needs immediate femoral head osteotomy surgery. This procedure will remove the damaged head and neck of the femur. After the surgery, he will need three months of rest and recovery before he can start therapy. Since Red is so young, his prognosis is excellent, his chance of recovery is 100%, and he will soon be back to his best playful self.
You can help Red have the freedom to run and play without pain! Your gift will directly fund Red's surgery and will help him get back to the search for his forever family.
