Together, we can provide 240,000 children with clean, safe water.
Around the world, children from infancy to five years old have the highest mortality rate due to water-borne disease. When four year old Christian Joy got sick, her parents did everything they could for her. She made it to the hospital, but her body was too weak. She died from a preventable water and sanitation related illness, as nearly 1,000 children worldwide do each and every day. You can help us save the next child.
Greater Good Charities partners with organizations around the world to provide crucial water and sanitation services to school children and their communities. We work to build wells, provide families with long-lasting water filters, and teach children about safe hygiene.
You can help. Just $1 provides clean water to 12 children for an entire year!
Clean Water Filters:
Dodong is a young Obo-Clata tribal boy from Tambobong in the Southern Philippines. Dodong loves school, but like so many other rural Filipino children, water-borne diseases are a dangerous risk, and if he gets sick he can't go to school. Thanks to donors like you, Dodong and his family were provided with a biosand filter that will provide clean water for he and his family for the next 30 years!
Life started to change for a remote community in South Sudan since your donations helped Water for South Sudan drill a well for the Ayok Dhok Primary School in 2018. This new well serves 800 students and their community. Now, water borne diseases are disappearing, personal hygiene has improved, and people no longer have to walk long distances to collect unsafe water. Thanks to your donations, this community will have access to clean water for years to come!
Water Sanitation and Hygiene:
Last year your donations benefited more than 500 children in the village Phanouandong in Paksong, Laos. Each school received 2 Terra Clear clean water filters, soap, and went through a W.A.S.H. Hygiene program where they learned about bacteria and the correct way to wash their hands. Now these kids have the skills they need to stay clean and healthy—we couldn't have done it without you!
