Support The Pollinators!
Provide a safe place for mason bees to build their homes with this small but impactful wooden house. Once in use, the bees lay their eggs within the tube structures, and seal them up with mud. Then, in the early Spring the young bees emerge from the tubes. Females will later return to the house to lay eggs in the future for the cycle to continue.
Eco-Friendly & Easy To Use
Simply place in a location that gets morning sunlight, under an overhang if possible. By keeping it 5 – 7 feet above ground and near plants and flowers, the bees are able to find safety. Once it is put up, you have done your part to help the growth of wildlife and our best pollinators!
- Instructions included
- Wood panel on back; tubes open to front only
- 7.75" H x 7.5" L x 4.25" D
I just received the Pink & Blue & have hung them from a shepherd's hook that won't support my hanging baskets any longer. I used reusable rubber gear ties I found today @ Lowe's that worked much better than the chain & S-hooks I thought I wanted. You have to bring them in during the winter months to protect the larvae laid inside so this will be interesting to see if mine fill up & thrive. I placed them in my flower bed that also has 4 tomato plants & 2 pepper plants & my yellow squash doing well there. <3
I bought 2 of these, 1 each in blue and purple. One's for me, the other a gift for a friend. They seem sturdy and well made, beautiful, vibrant colors as shown. The hanger on one is slightly misplaced so will have to be fixed. Description says "Instructions included" but there were no instructions with either house. Neither of these is a big deal but wanted to point them out. I can relay the instructions to my friend.
Thank you for your kind words. GreaterGood is very proud of this product and we are happy to hear that you are pleased with your purchase and the cause that your purchase helps support. Very much appreciated. Each Bee House should come with instructions printed on the inside of the hang tag so I apologize if your's did not include them. Again, thank you for your support of GreaterGood.
These houses are amazing. We purchased two of them this spring, placed them in the morning sun, and the bees visited. As of this writing, all tubes in both houses are filled, as are most of the spaces in-between. We are so pleased with our purchase. Please consider purchasing these homes to help save the bees.
