Lawreen is the second of nine children born to two peasant farmers in Webuye, Kenya. She wants to finish college so she can make a better life for her 8 siblings.
Help us reach our goal of raising $1284 to fully fund the remainder of her college education!
Just $1187.00 MORE NEEDED!
Lawreen's older sister was fortunate enough to attend the Technical University of Mombasa, but couldn't finish — when their father passed away, the school fees became too much. Now Lawreen Nyae has a chance at completing that education that her sister had to leave behind.
With the help of a scholarship she was granted last year, Lawreen was able to excel, remaining a strong B– student during high school. Now Lawreen Nyae has been accepted to Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. The only things keeping her from getting her university education — and achieving her dream of becoming an accountant — are the steep fees for schooling, meals, transportation, and accommodations.
With your help, Lawreen can continue her education, and pave the way for her future career.
Consider making a monthly gift. When you give just $13 monthly, you can help ensure Lawreen or another girl in Kenya has a permanent scholarship until she graduates.
