Episode 2, "Shelter Me: Let's Go Home," hosted by Jane Lynch. A group works with firefighters and other first responders to train shelter dogs for search-and-rescue; the positive impact a mobile spay-neuter clinic has on communities; a couple adopting a cat from a shelter; and "shelter dogs turned therapy dogs" that visit and comfort patients and their families in hospitals.
Episode 3, "Shelter Me: Second Chances," hosted by Edie Falco. Shelter dogs get paired up with juveniles in a detention facility to provide hope and lifelong lessons for the young inmates; a spoken word artist delivers an emotional performance reminding us about all the incredible shelter pets that are waiting for loving homes; and a professional photographer takes a group of kids into a shelter to show how taking great pictures can get more pets adopted.
Episode 4, "Shelter Me: New Beginnings," hosted by Allison Janney. Volunteer pilots fly 128 shelter dogs to safety and a nationally recognized animal trainer implements doggie play groups in overcrowded shelters. The goal is to get each dog out of their kennel to play in groups every single day. These play groups enhance the health and well-being of the dogs and dramatically increases their chances for adoption.
