Bought the blue one and love it. Very unique looking feeder. You do have to take the tube out of the stopper and push the stopper in with every ounce of your strength (I turn it on its side, put it against the side of my counter and lean into it). Learned the hard way what happens when that stopper isn't secure. But it's beautiful, love it, hummers love it AND it provided food for shelter animals. BONUS!
I bought both colors and I love them!! They're even bigger than I imagined.
Mine worked perfectly, and I loved watching the little hummers come for a drink. Unfortunately, it also attracted my overzealous yellow jacket population so I had to give it to someone else.
I purchased the Red one. The link between the top hook and the wire actually attached to the bottle is not strong enough to support the bottle once it contains nectar. The pieces in particular is the ones with the large clear/white ball and the one with the 3 small red balls. The wire has not been work hardened. I did a work around to prevent returning the item by removing the links containing the balls, connecting the large S hook to the wire around the bottle, then connected the links containing the balls to either side of the front of the bottle, where they sit as decoration. Whoever makes these must remember that wire should be hardened before inserting the ball in order for the length to support the container of nectar.
I bought the blue one. So pretty, but worthless for what you're suppose to use it for. The plug kept coming out. Sticky mess all over the place and myself. I finally got so angry.... don't always act like this.... but I pulled it off the branch and it was so flimsy, it fell apart all over the ground! Looks good but that's it!
