Dodger needs your help to be treated for cancer and other illnesses!
Dodger was rescued from a rural shelter in Holbrook, AZ, when he was brought in as a stray. He was sick, lethargic and emaciated, with a swollen abdomen and groin, skin issues and hair loss. He was rushed to the ER vet and given IV fluids and antibiotics, and tests were run to make a thorough diagnosis.
Dodger was diagnosed with Stage 1 Seminoma; a cancerous testicular tumor requiring surgical removal. Fortunately, it was local and had not spread. He was also positive for mange, requiring a two-month treatment of oral antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and lime sulfur wash.
This pup has faced a lot, but now he's gone through surgery and is on the mend. His mange is clearing, and since his cancer had not spread, now that the tumor is removed his prognosis is great! As he takes his time healing, Dodger is on the lookout for the perfect family to love him in his retirement.
You can help Dodger recover from testicular cancer and other health problems! Your gift will directly cover his procedure, medication and constant care. Soon, he will be back to being an active, social senior who is the life of the party but also likes chilling by the fire.
Help us meet our goal of $3,000 to treat Dodger so he can show off his loyal, loving personality again. Funds raised over the goal amount will go to help provide medical care to other shelter pets.
