Save Indigenous Lands in the Amazon

In the Amazon rainforest, endangered species are at risk. Animals like the Giant Otter, the White-bellied Spider Monkey, and the Black-faced Black Spider Monkey could be pushed to extinction by the destruction of their unique ecosystem.

In Peru, the largest Amazon regions are traditionally occupied and protected by indigenous groups. Unfortunately, hundreds of indigenous communities have no recognized ownership rights to their lands. Without the titles to their territories, native communities have no legal tools to defend their lands from poaching, logging, and agricultural interests—expansion which could destroy the rainforest and leave endangered species without a home. has partnered with Rainforest Trust to protect the Amazon and preserve a critical area of 6 million acres currently at risk. Together, we can help 220 indigenous communities in Peru gain legal protection over their land so they can fight back against the expansion of logging and agriculture. When these communities are empowered to safeguard their home against deforestation, endangered species are protected for generations to come.

You can help. The Amazon is one of the most crucial and vibrant ecosystems on Earth, but without our protection it could disappear forever. Just $10 can protect 10 acres of land. Donate today!
