Help Leo and Tabitha Heal After Brutal Dog Attack

Leo and Tabitha were cared for by a community in Greece most of their lives. When these two didn’t show up to be fed, worried locals went looking for them. Leo was found in an olive bucket in a yard, crying out and unable to move. 

Poor Leo and Tabitha had been the victims of a brutal dog attack. Leo was missing skin and fur, his bone and muscle exposed on his right limbs, and Tabitha was later found in a similar state. They were quickly rescued and brought to a veterinary clinic.

Leo and Tabitha will stay at the clinic for about two months until they've fully healed. Despite all the pain and trauma they’ve endured, their perseverance and sweet dispositions remain. Will you help Leo, Tabitha, and other injured cats in Greece receive medical care?

Help Leo and Tabitha recover after being attacked by dogs!

In late 2023, Greater Good Charities were approached by groups working in the city of Xanthi, Northern Greece, to assist in the support of over 600 pets seeking out an existence in and around a municipal rubbish site. Since then, working alongside the Animal Rescue Site and community partners, they have provided food, specialist medical care, funded high quality spay-neuter services and supported foster and adoption for dozens of pets.

Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, Greater Good Charities and the Animal Rescue Site are in the process of deepening our commitment to the pets of Xanthi, ensuring every animal has the support it needs. We are also expanding our reach to several new areas within Greece, supporting both cats and dogs in need.
