On March 20th, Greater Good Charities will fly 50 at-risk dogs out of overcrowded shelters in Louisiana, all the way to Rhode Island. With your help, these lucky pups can get one step closer to finding their forever homes.
Most of the animals on this flight are at-risk pets; without this flight, they might never find their loving homes due to the overcrowding that often happens in shelters. Sending these dogs from under-resourced shelters in Louisiana to shelters with empty space in Rhode Island will give them the second chance at life AND the adoption they deserve.

Meet Jimbo! Jimbo was brought to a shelter by a weeping, elderly couple. They had no choice but to surrender him. After receiving devastating news, they had to move out of the country to be with their family and were unable to take their beloved pup along. Thanks to the Greater Good Charities Good Flights program, the shelter was able to tell the couple that their sweet Jimbo would still have a chance at a happy life. Meet Sparky! This sweet, 8-year-old Labrador Retriever mix was surrendered to Save A Pet when this family had a new baby and moved to a home that wasn't pet friendly. He's sweetheart who loves his walks and his people and can't wait to meet his next family!
Meet Sully! He was found as a stray in rural Louisiana. This goofy guy is loving life! He likes to bounce around in the yard and play with all his canine pals!

In shelters across the country, highly adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized just because the shelters are overcrowded. In other areas, shelters have a shortage of adoptable pets. We're transporting these pets to shelters where they're immediately adopted.

Thank you for doing this. Please contact the NYC Animal Care Centers (ACC). They kill healthy dogs and cats EVERY WEEK after short stays in their centers. They need partners to help their overload. People surrender their pets, not realizing they may be killed after a short stay. Very tragic.
