Toby is an 8 year old Dachshund who was adopted from a high-volume shelter by a kind family in New York. Toby's first owners had passed away, and he was overjoyed to find a new family—plus a new Dachshund brother!
But soon after he was adopted, Toby grew very sick. He was diagnosed with pancreatitis and Cushing's disease, a condition he will have for the rest of his life. Toby's new family, Michael and Debbie, want to give their sweet little dog as many years as they can, but they need your help. Debbie has overcome cancer twice, and she's still trying to pay off those medical bills. Covering this large unexpected veterinary bill is an enormous burden to Michael and Debbie.
Toby's veterinarian is confident that, with medication and a special diet, he can live comfortably for many more years, but Toby needs your help to afford treatment so he can thrive in his new home.
You can help Toby feel better! Your gift will go directly to provide Toby with the specialized treatment he needs to live a long and happy life.
Help us meet our goal of $2,000 to keep Toby healthy. Funds raised over the goal amount will go to help provide medical care to other shelter pets.
